Surveillance & Infiltration in Ontario

Last updated 2024 June 14.

People in our movements are right to be concerned about surveillance and infiltration. At the same time, it’s been my experience that they often don’t have a fact-based understanding of what it actually looks like.

I really believe that the best way to protect yourself is by understanding the recent histories of your particular region and the different police agencies there. You can use that information to threat model. The No Trace Project (consider using Tor!) is an amazing project I really recommend. It compiles resources both on known threats and what you can do about them.

This list is, as the title says, specific to Ontario. I hope to update it semi-regularly as I discover more texts, but no guarantees there.
